The spring game on May 1 for Nebraska football may be big for many reasons. They will have the opportunity to host  ($) 2024 Bellevue West wide receiver Daevonn Hall.

Hall is not ranked in the 247Sports Composite or regular rankings, and he only has two offers to this point. Iowa and Nebraska are the only schools that have offered him so far.

What could he bring to the table for Nebraska? He could bring an instant weapon. Measuring in at six-foot-two, 172 pounds, Hall is very good in many facets as a wide receiver. For one, he can run after the catch. Whether it be a screen or a slant, he can make things happen with the ball in his hands. He is very good at following his blockers, and he is difficult to bring down. Not only that, he also has very good breakaway speed. This could be important within the Nebraska football offense.

He is the definition of a playmaker and he would fit well inside a spread offense. Nebraska has looked for big-time playmaking wide receivers in the past couple of classes, and  Hall fits the bill. He not only knows how to catch consistently, but he knows what to do with the football. This is definitely an asset in a wide-open offense like Nebraska football is trying to establish.

Another thing he does well is block. That is something that popped off his highlight tape. He is not afraid to extend his hands and play until the whistle blows. This is something that would endear him to Nebraska football fans. Nebraska football as a program stresses the importance of blocking, so he would definitely fit in with what the program wants out of its players.

This spring game visit could be crucial for Nebraska football. They have done a nice job of landing a couple of in-state kids recently , and Hall would certainly be a huge get. He is someone that has been on the radar of Nebraska football fans over the last year or so. Now, the program has the chance to impress him during the spring game.

I will certainly be watching May 1 closely for several reasons. So too, will recruits. May 1 has a lot of things riding on it, not only for the 2021 season but for the future as well. There should be a ton of action any way you slice it on that day.
