Nebraska football is in the thick of things as far as 2022 recruiting goes, and they are in the mix for wide receiver Landon Samson. Samson is the 123rd overall wide receiver in the 2022 class, and the 127th overall player in his class from the state of Texas per the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

In addition to Nebraska, he also holds offers from several other schools. Baylor, Boise State, Colorado, and Memphis have offered him in addition to Nebraska. He caught 74 passes for 1,293 yards and 15 touchdowns for Southlake Carroll High School.

What could he bring to Nebraska football? Measuring in at six-foot-one, 180 pounds, Samson is a very good downfield threat. He is able to get separation quickly, and after that, he can make the catch with relative ease. He would be exactly what Nebraska football is looking for, as they have been focusing their attention on big-time playmakers. He would give them a solid outside receiver in their offense, and allow them to be able to utilize their spread offense effectively.

The 2022 recruiting class is shaping up pretty well for Nebraska. They obviously have to add some more pieces to it, but it has a solid base. It currently ranks 57th overall nationally and last overall in the Big Ten per the 247Sports Team Rankings.

What makes his recruitment so interesting is the fact that he is coming to the Nebraska football spring game. You may recall a couple years ago when Nebraska was able to land at commitment from Turner Corcoran at the game. Who knows what could happen at this game? in any event, Sampson will be there, and you can bet that Nebraska wants to put on a good show for him, as they look to add to a small but talented 2022 class.
