Nebraska baseball continues to do well in recruiting.

Although this is certainly later news, it is still worth mentioning. Nebraska baseball head coach Will Bolt continues to clean up the state of Nebraska in recruiting. Late Monday, Nebraska baseball received a commitment from 2023 pitcher/first baseman Ryan Harrahill.

He made the announcement of his commitment via Twitter. He is the third Nebraska baseball commitment in the 2023 class. All three commitments in the class are from the state of Nebraska.

According to a scouting report from Prep Baseball Report, Harrahill has several pitches in his repertoire, and his fastball is the most predominant out of these. His fastball reaches the maximum velocity of 90 miles per hour. He also has a curveball, a changeup, and a slider. His curveball and changeup max out at 78 and 80 miles per hour respectively.

His slider is his slowest out of the pitches in his repertoire. That tops out at 70 miles, but that is certainly not bad for a fourth pitch, particularly when his other three pitches have a good amount of speed behind them. That will certainly be helpful for him in the collegiate baseball ranks.

This is yet another big commitment for the 2023 class, and I’m just looking at the kids in the class from the state of Nebraska. Bolt and his coaching staff have done a great job at getting kids to stay home and landing talented kids. They are building a nice pipeline in the state, and I truly believe that this class will be added to in the future. To me, this class is only getting started, and it sets a great precedent for the future of the program. You can definitely tell that there is a plan here in terms of recruiting.

dark. Next. Three burning questions for Penn State

I’ll be interested to see how on-field success correlates with future recruiting. The 2021 Nebraska baseball recruiting class is shaping up nicely. It already has several solid pieces. Now, it is all about how these pieces fit together. Judging based on what I am reading and seeing, Harrahill should be a tremendous asset to the program.
