This would be a huge boost for Nebraska football.
This is something that I have been waiting to talk about for quite a while now. It appears that we may see a full Memorial Stadium for the 2021 season. At least that is the hope of Nebraska president Ted Carter.
Appearing on 1400 KLIN on Wednesday, Carter indicated that his hope was to have Memorial Stadium full for the fall. This would certainly be a change from the 2020 season, when no fans were allowed in the stands. This is certainly music to the ears of many Nebraska football fans, myself included. There is nothing like a Memorial Stadium crowd on game day.
Particularly with the this 2021 team and the promise that they have, a full stadium could be ideal for the team. There were definitely a couple of times last year when I thought the energy was really low, and that a Memorial Stadium crowd could help that. A full-capacity stadium would certainly be a welcome sight, and bring some normalcy in what has been a crazy world as of late.
Particularly with the way the Nebraska football program is appearing to trend upward in terms of recruiting and personnel moves, a full stadium would only feel right to begin the exciting 2021 season. I feel like there is a lot of promise with this team, and a lot of young pieces that should be able to help right away.
As reported by @Kellan_Heavican the NU system President Ted Carter just said he expects full capacity stadiums this fall.

I will be interested to see what exactly the rules are for attending a game and tailgating for instance. I know a bunch of fans will want to take part in that. I certainly do not blame them.
In any event, I know that Nebraska football fans will be happy to potentially be attending games next fall. Let’s face it, it’s been a long year. The fans want to see their football games, and they want to cheer on their Huskers. Even though I am not in the Nebraska area, I would love to see a sea of red on TV. There is honestly nothing better.
