football is doing some work in recruiting for 2022.

Nebraska is continuing to review the 2022 class, and they are extended several offers to members of the class this week. One of those offers has gone to Ethan Nation.

Nation is not ranked in the 247Sports composite or regular rankings. Even still, he is becoming a very popular recruit. He has 30 offers on the table, with some of them being from top SEC schools such as Auburn, Florida, Georgia, and LSU.

More from Husker Corner

A native of Roswell Georgia, Nation is very good in pass coverage. He is able to track the ball, and bring down the ball for an interception. As soon as the ball is snapped, he reads the quarterback’s eyes and is able to come down and make a play on it.

Measuring in at six feet, 170 pounds he still has room to grow, and that is certainly good for him from a football standpoint. His athleticism combined with a little more size should make for a good combination. When he gets to the collegiate level, I could see him being a solid outside  corner. Particularly if he grows a little bit more, he should definitely be able to make an impact in big-time college football.

Currently, Nebraska has no commitments in the 2022 class. They are actively recruiting the class, and I would expect that to change soon. Just on Sunday alone, they offered three players, including Nation. They are certainly doing their homework on this class, and I would expect that to continue.

I’ll be interested to see what becomes of his recruitment, and I could see Nebraska ending up in his top groups when that time comes. One of the things that I see working against Nebraska football in this instance is the fact that he is  already  being recruited by some of the big schools in the SEC. That right there puts Nebraska football at a disadvantage.

Either way, Nebraska football is still continuing to recruit down South, in an effort to stock up the program with some very talented athletes. I’ll be interested to see what ends up happening here, and it is certainly something to watch.
