Nebraska football is beginning to recruit for the future.

As Nebraska football continues to recruit for the future, they extended an offer to a 2023 tight end late on Friday. Benjamin Brahmer was the recipient. ($) He currently plays at Pierce High School .

He caught 44 passes for 747 yards and 10 touchdowns last season, and his team certainly benefited as a result. Pierce went 12-0 on the season and won the C-1  state championship in November.

When I watched some of his highlights, I am very impressed with what I see. He gets out quick on his break, and he is able to settle down and catch the football. His size certainly helps him here as well. He is six-foot-four, and plays both the wide receiver and tight end position. If he were to commit to Nebraska, I could definitely see him playing tight end.

Nebraska has had good luck over the past couple of months in recruiting the tight end position. I could definitely see that continuing in the 2022 in 2023 classes. There are a lot of good in-state prospects to choose from in these classes, and the trick for Nebraska football will be to keep them home. They certainly need impact playmakers in the coming seasons.

Currently, Nebraska has nobody committed in the 2023 class. I’ll be interested to see who Nebraska offers with these future classes. Brahmer is certainly a player that would be able to help Nebraska at the tight end position. He has that type of playmaking ability, and he shows a good awareness of where he is on the field.

However, just like most of these players in the upcoming classes, Nebraska football will certainly have to battle for them. This is not going to be an easy battle for them to win, and I expect them to lose out on a couple of these in-state players. Teams are going to be realizing that Nebraska is a fruitful place or recruiting activity.

With how well Brahmer played last season, I fully expect his profile to grow. Good on Nebraska for offering him early before several offers come his way. He would fit well in this offense, and I could definitely see him finding playing time in Lincoln.
