Nebraska basketball has a star on their hands.

Another day, another loss for Nebraska basketball. Although it is hard to find positives in a loss, there were some to be had. One of those was the play of Teddy Allen.

Allen went six-of-15 from the field and six-of-seven from the free-throw line. He was all over this game, and he had his fingerprints in this game throughout it.

One of the things that I am noticing he is developing well is a deep three-point shot. On the day, he went three-of-eight from beyond the arc, and he took some really deep shots. It’s been interesting to see him nail these deep shots with regularity. It wasn’t something that I really thought was a part of his game, and I am glad to have been wrong.

Allen has been able to provide a spark for Nebraska basketball this season, and he was able to do that on Sunday as well. He was a big reason why Nebraska outscored Indiana 42-36 in the second half.

Alas they just were not able to get the job done. It seems like that is a theme for the program the season, and it’s getting difficult to watch them get so close but yet so far.

Allen is undoubtedly a key part of the basketball team, and we’re starting to see him find his game and play at a high level. He has been consistent throughout the entire season, in what has been a year of inconsistency for the program. It’s been fun to watch him develop as a pure shooter, and he has become a real deep threat for Nebraska basketball.

It will be interesting to see how he develops throughout the rest of the season. This conference schedule is not easy, and it will help the program and Allen himself see how they fare against tough competition. If Allen can continue to play with consistency, he will be fun to watch.

His contributions may end up proving to be important, especially if Nebraska can get on a run and make some sort of postseason tournament. He is the type of player that I watch every game or just to see how he does. He is turning into must-see TV.
