The Nebraska football wide receiver is focused on making good decisions.
The 2021 class is the focus for this Nebraska football program, and one wide receiver is certainly doing just that. Latrell Neville has a bunch of mentors with Scott Frost ties as he enters his first year.
Bralon Addison and Josh Huff are the two individuals with which Neville communicates regularly. For some of you, those two names may sound familiar. Addison scored 20 touchdowns for Oregon from 2012-15, and had had one really good season in 2013. That year, he recorded 1,140 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Now, those two are serving as mentors to Neville. I like to hear this, because it gives Neville a sort of balance and people to turn to as he enters his first year of college. This is key, because he will probably end up being one of the main wideouts for the Nebraska football offense. As a matter of fact, he could end up playing quite a bit his freshman year.
He could end up being a key piece of the offense for Nebraska football. When you look at the depth chart for the wide receiver position, there are not a ton of weapons at the position. Thus, this could be an opportunity for Neville to shine. As he told the Lincoln Journal Star earlier this week, Addison and Huff always make sure that he is doing what he is supposed to be doing.
"“I know them both really well,” Neville said. “Josh Huff, we work out together and he pushes me to be the best receiver I can be, but also a better person. Bralon, I know him personally as well. He pushes me academically, mostly. He always tells me that education comes first. He wants to make sure that I get my degree coming out of college.“Two guys I have in my corner and they know Coach Frost really well and Coach Lubick, too. So it was pretty easy when I was making my decision.”"
The fact that these two are connected to Coach Frost and are helping Neville is certainly an asset. To me, it is already speaking to the fact that Neville wants to be a leader. He wants to be focused and making sure that he is doing the right things. That’s exactly what I want to see for an incoming freshmen.
Next. Three 2021 commitments that can make impact right away. dark
Neville has the right people in his corner, and I think is something that will serve him well. Hopefully, he will be able to continue on the right path, and become the weapon that Nebraska football expect him to be.
