The tackle will have his chance to represent Nebraska football.

In what has been a rough year for everybody, one member of the Nebraska football program has something to smile about. Left tackle Brendan Jaimes has been invited to the Senior Bowl.

Scheduled to occur next month in Mobile, Alabama, Jaimes will be able to show off his skills at a national level. He will have the opportunity to perform in front of NFL evaluators, and have his first real chance at trying to impress NFL teams.

This is certainly a big opportunity for him. Obviously, those within Nebraska football circles know what he can do. Me and many other Nebraska football fans are aware of the skills that he brings to the table. He is dependable, durable, and a solid football player. Those three things will get him far in the NFL.

I feel like he is not really known to well outside of Nebraska football circles. Nebraska as a program often gets buried in with the rest of the Big 10 Teams. As a result, some of the better Nebraska football players get lost in the shuffle. This is a big opportunity for Jaimes to show what he can do.

In a day when the NFL is all about offense it seems, Jaimes should certainly be able to find an NFL home. We have seen time and time again the benefits of having a good offensive line in the National Football League. This is a huge opportunity for not only Jaimes, but for the program as well. It will be able to give them more exposure.

Now, he will no longer get buried by the rest of the Big Ten. He will finally have his chance to show what he can do.

I have no doubts that he will certainly make the most of his opportunity. He is a player that NFL scouts are going to love, simply because of the certainty he brings to the line. He will definitely give me somebody to follow when and if he reaches the big-time.

dark. Next. Three team MVPs for 2020 season

This is certainly awesome news, and I hope more Nebraska football players get recognized as the postseason awards continue. In what has been a difficult season, there have truly been some great individual performances this year. It just goes to show some of the talent that Nebraska football has, and some of the hidden gems that this program has been able to develop over the past couple of seasons.
