Adrian Martinez

Adrian Martinez was undoubtedly the top performer for Saturday. The Nebraska football quarterback situation has been like a game of musical chairs. Saturday, it was Martinez’s turn to shine. Not only did he shine, he looked fresh and ready to go.

He finished the game going 23-of-30 on the afternoon, throwing for  242 yards and a touchdown. He also recorded two touchdowns on the ground and tallied 45 yards on 13  carries.

It was great to see him play at a high level. Throughout the course of the season, he has been very up-and-down. On Saturday, he played extremely well. He looked comfortable in the pocket, and he looked decisive in making his reads. Shoutout to the offensive line for giving him time in the pocket. He really put it all together, and he looked like the Adrian Martinez of old. Let’s hope we see that in the next game.
