Nebraska Football landed a key-walk on commitment on Monday.

On Monday, Nebraska football landed a commitment from a local walk-on player. Alex Bullock committed to Nebraska, and he has a tremendous pedigree and skill set.

Bullock hails from Creighton Prep. He recorded 56 catches 761 yards and 11 touchdowns as a wide receiver. Measuring in at six-foot-two, 190 pounds, Bullock also was a standout on defense. He intercepted five passes in addition to breaking up eight. He also made 35 tackles.

I’ll be interested to see how Nebraska uses him. My guess would be as a wide receiver. There is no doubt that he is a very good football player. He certainly has the capability to be successful. He has the body type to be an outside receiver, something that Nebraska will need in the future.

This already adds to a very talented in  2021 Nebraska football recruiting class. Currently, the class is ranked 18th overall nationally and fourth in the Big Ten per the  247Sports Composite Rankings.

What can Bullock bring to Nebraska? When I take a look at his highlights, the first thing I notice is that he is a very physical wide receiver. He is not afraid to go up and catch the football, and he can make plays on the outside. Furthermore, he is not afraid of contact. He excels well as a kick returner, and once given open space, he is very difficult to bring down. I could see him filling many different roles for the Nebraska football program.

That physicality is something that Nebraska is going to need at the position moving forward. To be honest, they lack a lot of that physicality this year alone. They could use Bullock right now.

This is certainly not a five-star name for Nebraska. However, it does give them a local kid with a ton of talent. We have seen several local players committed to the program in this class. I’m hoping that is a trend that will continue in the future. I’m excited to see how he will be able to help the program, and I could see him filling a nice role for Nebraska football.
