One player that I really kind of focused on this week in all my previews and stuff is Jahan Dotson, the wide receiver. That’s definitely been an issue for Nebraska this year, defending the deep ball, and just covering in general, to be perfectly honest with you. What can he bring? Because I know he’s about 5’11”, and he’s definitely on the speedier side. And it seems like every day, or every Saturday, I watch SportsCenter, and he has a highlight. So what can he bring to the table that would make it hard for Nebraska to defend him?

He’s a great receiver. A bit undershadowed last year, because K.J. Hamler got all the press. And somewhat similar build, although Hamler was faster. So Hamler was the deep guy, and Dotson was a lot in the slot last year. I actually went to a nearby high school where Dotson went, so I got to see him play in high school. It’s from Lehigh Valley, Nazareth High School. I grew up in Lehigh Valley as well. So he’s been a target for a long time, and when we flipped his recruit, I believe from UCLA, I believe is where we flipped as recruit from, and it was a big deal. He’s not a guy you’re going to cover with one person, all right? You need to put two guys on him. The good news is none of our other receivers have stepped up. You can do that. You really can.
