Jake Ferguson had a huge game against Illinois last week. What type of dynamic does he bring to the offense?

I think Ferguson is a huge threat in the passing game. He has pretty good speed for his size and can be a matchup nightmare if he is being covered by a linebacker. He also has the ability to make some tough contested catches.

Something that has been a problem for Ferguson in the past is his fumbling, which showed up again on Friday night, leading to Illinois’ only points of the game. Ferguson is a quarterback’s best friend. He’s a great security blanket, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see him targeted a lot, especially if Mertz is out.
