Question:  How will Graham Mertz‘s positive COVID-19 test affect things heading into Saturday?

BOH: Mertz is taking a second test to confirm his positive test, so there’s still a chance he could play.

But, if he can’t go, the Badgers will be led by Chase Wolf. Although he may not have the same amount of talent or skill that Mertz has, he has the complete support of his team. Badger247’s Evan Flood said he thinks Wolf has the talent to win at this level.

He will also have the Badger’s defense behind him as well, which didn’t allow a point against Illinois Friday night. I think that Paul Chryst will have a game plan that will allow Wolf to be successful. I think they will depend on the run more than with Mertz, but I think Wolf is fully capable of leading this Wisconsin team to some wins.
