Nebraska football are the heavy underdogs as the week begins.
With the Nebraska football game against Ohio State less than a week away, oddsmakers are beginning to put in their predictions for the game.
Sunday, William Hill Sports had the Buckeyes as a 25-point favorite. That of course would make Nebraska 25-point underdogs.

Truthfully, it’s about where I expected the Nebraska football program to be in terms of odds. The Buckeyes are loaded with talent. Just fields, tray sermon, and master Teague I three players in particular that will help lead the Ohio State offense. Simply put, Nebraska is going to have their hands full.
For their part, Nebraska football definitely has playmakers as well. Adrian Martinez looks to bounce back and have a big year. In the running game, Nebraska has a loaded backfield of their own. Will be interesting to see who throws the proverbial first punch, as well as how Nebraska defense Ohio State. This is a team that Nebraska cannot afford to take lightly, and I don’t think they will.
With that being said, I do expect this to be a closer game that was last year. You can bet that getting embarrassed on national television is still in the back of the minds of the huskers. They don’t want it to happen again. For me, I am most interested in how Nebraska football will come out for this game. Well they try to take big shots down the field? Alternatively, will they run the ball and try to control the clock? There’s a lot of options they can use on Saturday.
In any event, I am just excited that football is back. This Nebraska team has a chance to be really special and if they want to be the best they have to beat the best. Ohio State certainly falls into that category, and I’m excited to see what Nebraska can do. Nebraska may not win, but I have a feeling that they will be able to put up a good fight. At this point, that’s all I am asking for.
