It was a great night for the Nebraska football commitment.

Another Nebraska football commitment was in action on Friday, as Heinrich Haarberg made quick work of his opponent.

Playing Minden, he went 13-of-23 on the evening, throwing for 134 yards and a touchdown. He was much more efficient with his legs, carrying the ball 10 times for 82 yards and two touchdowns.

It’s been fun to watch in the season. Some games, he has got it done with his arm. Other games, he has managed to get it done with his legs. That’s the mark of a great dual-threat quarterback. He has multiple tools that he can use in order to beat you. In a Big Ten conference that is predicated on offense and the ability to make big plays, this is certainly a must-have set of skills.

Much like another commitment who was in action on Friday, Haarbeg appears to be ready for Lincoln. He is a dual-threat quarterback in every sense of the word, and he showed that again on Friday. In four games so far this season, he has 677 passing yards, six touchdowns and an interception. He truly looks like a man among boys out there.

It will be fun to see what he can do once comes to the Nebraska football program. He is the perfect fit for this program in the sense that he is the type of quarterback Scott Frost is looking for. Not only that, he is a local kid, so that will make it even more fun to follow him. He plays with such confidence in the pocket, and looks like he is extremely sound in making his decisions. This will help them when it comes time to play in the Big Ten.

In any event, . Kearney will take on Adams Central on October 9. It will be interesting to see what Haarberg does in that game. If it is anything like Friday, he should excel. He has been a ton of fun to watch , and I can’t wait to see what he does when he comes to Lincoln.
