The Nebraska football coach spoke about the program.

Nebraska football is anxious to get things going, there is no doubt about that. As the beginning of the season creeps closer, Nebraska football head coach Scott Frost talked about how his team has been doing in order to stay in shape for the season.

Nebraska football has been ready for the start of the season for quite a while now. With Ohio State being a formidable opponent, they are certainly going to have their work cut out for them. With that being said, the Huskers players have been able to stay sharp and ready to go due to offseason drills and things.

All throughout the offseason, it seems as though Nebraska football players have been trying to get in as much work as possible. This is certainly going to put Nebraska in good shape as practices begin. If anything, it’s a sign that the Nebraska football program is ready to go.  Frankly, they’ve been ready to go ever since it was announced that the Big Ten may not have a season.

Speaking on the radio Thursday, Scott Frost spoke about his team working out in the of-season. As a coach, that must make him excited. Frost will certainly have a lot of weapons to work with this year, probably the most he’s had in his Nebraska football tenure so far. Unlike last year, this team will have depth and the ability to make big plays at all positions. No longer will be program have to rely on just one particular player. Everybody is a chance to be involved.

"“We’ve been lifting and running and doing individual drills and everything for so long that our guys are just anxious to get out there,” Frost said. “We kept telling them we thought there was a chance and we should know something and we should know something and there were a lot of times where I didn’t know what to tell the guys because I didn’t know. “"

It’s good that everybody was able to stay ready and working. There is this old cliché that states success is made in the weight room. For Nebraska football, I think that may be the case.

In any event, the program is going to need it with the schedule that they have. I can’t wait to get things going. I can only imagine what the players are feeling. As the clock ticks down, the anticipation is certainly building.
