Nebraska football has a good commitment on their hands.

It’s time for a Nebraska football recruiting update. It’s not only an update, but kind of  tracker into one of the program’s biggest commitments. 2021 tight end Thomas Fidone is having a great senior season. Hopefully, he can translate his success to Lincoln.

On the year, Fidone has recorded 19 catches for 411 yards and six touchdowns. He is averaging 21.6 yards per catch, and that is perhaps the most staggering part of this. Whenever I have seen a highlight of his, he is always commanding double coverage and is gaining significant attention from defenders. It’s not like they’re letting them walk down the field. Rather, they are giving him the respect he deserves. The fact that he is averaging 21.6 yards per reception is staggering.

It is also worth noting that he has caught at least one touchdown in each of the four games he has played. He has managed to tally two games of two touchdowns to boot. Not only is he a great tight end for Lewis Central, he is also becoming a major weapon of theirs.

Some players will take it easy during the course of their senior season. He has not. Instead, the six-foot-five, 225-pound tight end is making noise at the high school level.

Really for him, it’s a chance to tune up his skills before he plays college ball. There is no doubt he is ready, and there is no doubt that he can play at a high level. Hopefully, he can successfully make it through this season without any injuries or distractions.

Given his play style, I can definitely see him putting up even bigger numbers down the road.

I am eagerly waiting for the end of the season, so that I can see his final statistics. Chances are, they are bound to be pretty good. There is no doubt he is cementing himself as the top tight end in the country, and I can’t wait to see him on to the Nebraska football program.

The thing that excites me about him the most is that at six-foot-five, 225 pounds, he has a body that is already conducive to the college game. He doesn’t have to worry about growing any or trying to fit his body for the tight end position. He is already ready to go. This will be very helpful for Nebraska football moving forward.

Next. Three takeaways from 2020 schedule. dark

It Is great to see him succeed in his final season, and it’s impressive in regards to what he has been able to do on the gridiron. It’s just making me more excited for him to come here.
