Markeith Williams

Markeith Williams is a safety who has been on Nebraska’s radar for quite a while. Williams is a four-star recruit in is the 14th overall safety in his class, and the 27th overall player in his class from the state of Florida per the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

He has a very impressive offer sheet to this point. Alabama, Ohio State, Auburn, Florida State, and Georgia are just some of his 35 offers in addition to Nebraska. With the game of football becoming a passing game, secondary help is more important than ever right now.

What would Williams be able to bring to Nebraska football? He would be able to bring good coverage skills to the program. When you watch his film, you see a safety who tracks the ball well. As soon as the quarterback throws the football, Williams is already on his way to make a play on it. Measuring in at six-foot-three, 180 pounds, he could help out the Nebraska defense tremendously. They have had success recruiting the safety position as of late, and Williams would be a great addition for 2022.

He brings the type of recognition and aggressive play style that could make him a household name on the Nebraska defense. We will see if his name gains any traction over the next couple of months.
