Micah Reilly

Micah Reilly is a tight end from Bellevue. The local product is ranked the 13th overall tight end in the 2022 class, and the third overall player in the state of Nebraska per the 247Sports composite rankings. Currently, he is a three-star recruit.

Because it is still early on in the recruiting process 247Sports has not made any Crystal Ball predictions for him. He is however generating interest from the likes of Arizona State, Arkansas, Colorado, Iowa, Iowa State, Michigan, Minnesota, and Penn State to name a few. Wisconsin is also in the mix.

It may have seemed like a bit of overkill to name all of the Big Ten schools interested in Riley. However, a lot of those schools battle with Nebraska in terms of recruits. The school I would pay most attention to in Riley’s recruitment is Iowa. They have become a breeding ground for tight ends. Just look at recently, as TJ Hockenson and Noah Fant have both gone to the National Football League.

What could he bring to Nebraska? Riley is a player that can do a little bit of everything. He can block very well, and he can get off the snap quickly and get downfield. He brings a multitude of skill sets to the table.  Personally, I believe that both his blocking and receiving skills would be helpful for Nebraska. He is difficult to bring down once he catches the ball, and he would give the Nebraska offense another dynamic playmaker at tight end. They already have two the 2021 class, and Riley would definitely be a great addition for the future.
