Jackson Hannah

Jackson Hannah is part of the youth movement that Nebraska football is trying to get at the position. After redshirting in 2019, he figures to be out to get some playing time if not now then certainly next season.

He was one of the top linebackers in the Southeast. He totaled 157 tackles and 32.5 tackles for a loss for Montgomery Bell Academy. In addition, he had 13 sacks and six fumble recoveries. His senior year was particularly impressive. He recorded 66 tackles, 16 tackles for a loss and six sacks as a senior. He was truly a monster defensively, and he certainly brings an edge to Lincoln. At 6-foot-3, 225 pounds, here is the ideal size for an outside linebacker.

Hannah and Garrett Nelson are two players in particular that I think are going to take the next step for Nebraska. When the guys like JoJo Domann graduate, Hannah will be there to take his place. He plays a high level, and he plays aggressively. Those are two traits you are certainly going to need in the Big Ten. It’s not a matter of if, but when Hannah will play. My guess is sooner rather than later.
