Nebraska Football is in good shape at outside linebacker.

The Nebraska football outside linebacker position is full of talent. Although it may not have as much experience as some positions on the roster, it is certainly filled with players that can make an impact. This is a testament to the solid work done by the coaching staff. They identified playmakers, and went out and got them.

In particular, the Nebraska football coaching staff  did a nice job of trying to build a youth movement at the position. Not only did they get outside linebackers, they got players who can make an impact. It was important for Nebraska to get depth at the position as linebackers are becoming an increasingly big part of the defense. When you take a look at the talent that they have at the position, Nebraska football is certainly in good shape for the future.

The program has a goal on how they want to use these linebackers, and it’s becoming evident that some of these players could turn out to be real stars. They have the blue-collar type of mentality needed to play at Nebraska. That is certainly a good thing for all involved. With the schedule that Nebraska has coming up, they are going to need players that are tough, and can play at a high level. The outside linebacker position will especially be crucial to making a bowl game appearance.

Without further ado, I take a look at the outside linebacker room and the talent that it has. In breaking this down, it is evident that the position will be counted on heavily. These players are certainly ready for the challenge.
