The junior college ranks have treated Nebraska football well.

It is no secret that Nebraska football has done extremely well in recruiting. Friday, they landed junior college star Nadab Joseph. The junior-college ranks have been particularly friendly for Nebraska football as of late.

With Friday’s commitment, Nebraska now has two of the top three JUCO transfers in the 2020 class. They were able to land Omar Manning in addition to Joseph.

It would not be a stretch to say that the junior college ranks have been extremely fruitful and plentiful for Nebraska. They have managed to scout the junior college ranks very well. Obviously, you want to land recruits that will be in Lincoln for four years. Nebraska has done plenty of that to as of late.

However, the junior college players also bring a certain amount of experience. They have a couple years of football under their belt, and that certainly plays its own role in rebuilding a program. Frost and his staff have made the junior college ranks a priority over the last year or so. So far, it has paid off.

The success that the Nebraska football program has had with this recruiting class in terms of JUCO commitments signals that Scott Frost may have found a key pipeline for Nebraska.

I get it,  teams are always going to get as many junior college players as they see fit into their programs. However, Frost and his staff appear to be relying on these players heavily as they continue building the program.

Hopefully, Nebraska can keep building on the success that they’re having  right now in future classes. You are starting to see these classes have a Scott Frost-feel to them. Frost is getting in a rhythm in recruiting, and he is identifying the playmakers that he wants on this roster. It’s a good thing to see, as now Frost can fit them into the roster how he sees fit.

Furthermore, this just tells me that big-time recruits are beginning to see Nebraska as a viable program. If they continue to reel in strong classes, the future is very bright. This is what building a program looks like. The 2018 and 2019 seasons were rough ones. Now, we are beginning to see the coaching staff settle in and land playmakers that fit.

Next. Takeaways from Joseph commitment. dark

In this world of recruiting, that is easier said than done. However, Nebraska football has made it look easy as of late. Especially this month, they have shown that they are not messing around, and are really focused on finding the right players for their system.
