Nebraska football is among the mix for this talented prospect.

I hate to think that Nebraska football would be unable to land a player. However, that could be the case at the tight end position. Thomas Fidone is attracting a lot of attention.

Although I would love for him to come to Lincoln, I am prepared for that not to happen. Instead, Nebraska may have a nice backup plan. Four-star tight end Dametrious Crownover had Nebraska in his list of top five schools.

Currently, the 247Sports Crystal Ball has Texas A&M as his top school. However, Nebraska could certainly be in the thick of things. Most recently, he was offered by Ole Miss on April 13.

Measuring in at six-foot-six Crownover is a blast to watch. When you look at his highlights, he is truly a man among boys. At the high school level, he completely dominated in every aspect that a tight end should. He was able to get into open space, block for running backs, and run solid routes. It was impressive to watch him just completely dominate. His size was undoubtedly one of the key things that made his high school career so successful

For what it’s worth, he managed to play solid defensively as well. At the collegiate level, I could see him sticking with the tight end position. That is where he looked most comfortable on the film, and that’s where I think he would be able to make the biggest impact.

He would give Nebraska the ultimate weapon at tight end and give them size in addition to strength. He would undoubtedly be a favorite target for the quarterbacks, and he would definitely fit with what Nebraska is trying to do.

Currently, the 2021 Nebraska recruiting class is picking up steam. They rank 42nd overall nationally, and 10th overall in the Big Ten per the 247Sports composite rankings. I expect those numbers to go up, and with the way that Nebraska has been trending in terms of recruiting, I certainly see them getting out of the bottom of the Big Ten.

Next. Thoughts on talented 2021 class. dark

Although things may not be trending in the program’s favor right now, Nebraska football is definitely a program to watch. Just based off their success in recruiting, they could play spoilers in Crownover’s recruitment. You never know how these things can work out. It will be interesting to see if Nebraska can seal the deal, as they continue their quest to find the tight end of the future.
