Jamie Nance

Jamie Nance is certainly an intriguing name for Nebraska football at the wide receiver position. Entering 2020 as a redshirt freshman, he certainly has a ton of potential.

I remember writing about Nebraska recruiting him last year. I wrote that he had a ton of shiftiness, and that he was an explosive playmaker. I still believe that to be true today. Nance had a stellar high school career, and he was able to put up big-time numbers.

A four-star prospect, he excelled at Blanchard High School in Oklahoma. He had 107 catches for 1,884 yards and 21 touchdowns in his high school career.

He continued to put together a strong work ethic in his senior season. He caught 36 passes for 523 yards and nine touchdowns. Nance is a player that I think will be able to get yards after the catch for Nebraska. He is the type of receiver that I would want to give the ball to in open space.

With the wide receiver room looking a bit thin to start the season, I expect him to have some sort of a role in 2020. I envision him as someone who can gain gritty yards, as well as a consistent playmaker that Nebraska football can count on.
