The Nebraska football coach sounded positive in his comments on Tuesday.

Nebraska football coach Scott Frost spoke to the media on Tuesday, and by all accounts, he sounds pretty happy with the progress of this team.

Heading into the 2020 season, it’s going to be a big year for everybody. With a tough schedule that does not get easier towards the end, Nebraska is going to need its playmakers to step up. When you couple a  tough schedule with the loss of a player like JD Spielman, things are certainly looking like an uphill battle for the program.

However, the future is extremely bright. There is a lot of young talent coming in, and things are lining up for Nebraska to be successful in the future.

Frost is comfortable with where the team is at, and that’s a good sign. Especially with the coronavirus pandemic altering the way things went this spring, it would have been easy to be a bit behind on workouts. That would’ve been certainly understandable, these are unprecedented times. However, it sounds like all of these necessary guys are ready. That is certainly good news, as many of them are in line for a big year.

When I think about the types of guys that Scott Frost referred to in his quote, a few come to mind. Wan’Dale Robinson, Adrian Martinez, Wan’Dale Robinson, JoJo Domann and Dicaprio Bootle are the types of guys that I believe Frost is talking about.

Nevertheless, it’s important for the entire team to be ready. If the impact players are setting an example, that makes it easier for the rest of the team to follow their lead.

If Frost feels comfortable with the progress that the guys are making, that I am comfortable with it too. I’m confident in the direction that he is leading the program in, and I certainly have high hopes for this year. This year, perhaps more than any other year, will really give us a chance to assess what Frost, his coaching staff, and the team are made of.

Next. Biggest takeaways from Spielman departure. dark

I can’t wait to see how it all plays out on the field, and I certainly hope that this team is ready to succeed. The reassurance by Frost leads me to believe that they are. I will certainly be interested in following their progress as the program moves throughout the offseason. Last season, there was a lot of room for growth and mistakes. This year, it’s going to be all about precision and the willingness to do whatever it takes to win.
