Nebraska Football  could be in this wideout’s future.

Nebraska football may be getting closer to a wide receiver commitment. Friday, 2021 wide receiver Jaylin Noel announced that he would be focusing on two schools. Iowa State, and Nebraska were the schools with that distinction.

Noel is the No. 109 overall wide receiver in his class, and the 11th overall player in his class from the state of Missouri per the 247Sports Composite rankings. In addition to those two schools, he had offers from Charlotte, Iowa, and Kansas on the table.

He is scheduled to take a visit to Lincoln on June 12. It is also worth noting that Ryan Held and Matt Lubick are recruiting him. It’s nice to see Lubick making an impact in recruiting already. I wrote a little bit about Noel back in February and I thought he would be a great addition to the Husker offense.

When I watched some of his highlights, I see a player that is tough to bring down, and is extremely quick. Think of a player like Wan’Dale Robinson and how he was used in different spots last year. Noel could be that type of player. He has a tremendous amount of speed and at five-foot-11, he fits the perfect mold of a dual-threat player,  and a player that can make an impact as soon as he touches the football.

Last season, he certainly put on a show offensively. He rushed the ball 45 times for 251 yards and three touchdowns. He proved to be much more impactful in the receiving game, recording 42 receptions for 769 yards and nine touchdowns. He would finish his high school career with 93 catches for 1,421 yards and 18 touchdowns. Nebraska seems to put an emphasis on players that are speedy and can play multiple positions offensively. Noel certainly fits the bill.

I would love it if he came to Lincoln as he would bring another dangerous playmaker to the offense. Nebraska already has a ton of those, but the Big Ten is a conference where you need to score an ample amount of points. In that sense, I would rather the program load up on weapons then sit back and watch those said weapons go to another school. Nebraska has certainly made it a point of recruiting impact players, and Noel would certainly be a big part of the 2021 class. The class itself is already very strong. Noel could help put it over the top.
