Nebraska Football could be a launching pad for Ty Hahn.

When it comes to local talents, you always like to see them make it. However, a certain Nebraska native has company when it comes to his position. Wide receiver Ty Hahn  will be looking to make a name for himself at the position.

Measuring in at six-foot-two, 185 pounds, Hahn hails from Johnson, Nebraska. He is a bit of an underdog, not ranked in the 247Sports Composite Rankings or the 247Sports overall rankings. When you look at his offer list, he gained interest from some of the smaller schools. North Dakota, South Dakota State,  and Wyoming all extended offers his way. However, he chose Nebraska in the end.

Much like he faced in the recruiting process, Hahn is going to have to make himself stand out from the rest of the pack. Not only that, the wide receiver position is extremely crowded. He will have to battle with the likes of Alante Brown, Omar Manning, Zavier Betts, and William Nixon to name a few. Combine that with the receivers already on the roster, and he certainly has an uphill battle. He will definitely be competing with top-tier talent. As he proved in high school, he plays extremely big

As a receiver for Johnson Brock High School, he put up some incredible numbers. He recorded 65 catches for 4,250 yards and 78 touchdowns in four seasons of play. He had three monstrous seasons in particular. As a senior, he caught 65 passes for 1,353 yards and 23 touchdowns. His best season in terms of touchdown receptions came as a sophomore in 2017-18. He caught 24 touchdowns on 59 receptions. Recording 1,447 yards, that year was the first one in which he really showed his explosiveness.

Now, he will no longer be the proverbial big fish in a small pond. He will have to compete with some of the best at the wide receiver position. I would certainly wouldn’t say he is lost in the shuffle. His resume speaks for itself. However, he certainly going to have to work for it.

I will be rooting for the local kid for sure. Obviously, I want to see all the Nebraska football receivers do well. However, I love seeing Nebraska natives succeed. There is a ton of talent in the state, and hopefully Hahn will be able to do the state proud. Some will say that he already has. I certainly would not disagree with that statement.
