Green has a lot to prove next year for Nebraska football.

As we move forward into the 2020 season, it’s important to take a look at players who played last year, just enough to get a taste of big-time college football. One of those players was Keem Green.

Green played in three games last season, recording a tackle. As some of you may recall, his commitment was big to a Nebraska football program that needed to add depth to the defensive line. He certainly brought a lot to the table as a player at the JUCO. level. He recorded 49 tackles as a freshman and 67 tackles as a sophomore. Measuring in at six-foot-five, 215 pounds, he certainly is the perfect size for a defensive lineman. Especially at the Big Ten level, teams need those big players to stop the run.

With him taking a redshirt last year, the 2020 season is his to truly prove what he can bring to Nebraska. I was excited when he committed to the Huskers. With the Daniels brothers no longer in the picture, the defensive line is going to have to fill some holes. Green can certainly do that.

Last year, he did not play a ton as he was getting up to speed with the Nebraska defense and acclimating with his new group of coaches. Now, he should be in a much more advantageous position. By the time the 2020 season rolls around, he will have had a full winter in the Nebraska football program, as well as spring practices and the spring game.

Nebraska football has decided to go with the junior-college products throughout the defensive line. Green is definitely someone who can make an impact. The way he can swim and rip around his defender is truly impressive. Hopefully, the Nebraska defense will be able to see some of that next season. I am truly looking forward to him having a breakout season. If all goes according to plan, he will definitely be able to fill those at aforementioned holes on the line.
