Nebraska Basketball: How to watch and what to know for Michigan State
Nebraska basketball faces off against a tough Michigan State team.
Nebraska basketball is set to take on Michigan State in what should be a tough matchup for a reeling Nebraska team. They have not won a game in quite a while, and they look to change that against a Michigan State team that is always difficult to play.
In their last game, the Spartans lost to a tough Maryland team by a 67-60 score. Xavier Tillman was the leading scorer for in Michigan State in that one. He scored 18 points on seven-of-13 shooting and he made all four of his free throws.
Cassius Winston had a solid game off the bench. In 36 minutes of play, he scored 14 points and tallied five assists and two rebounds. The always-dependable Winston proved again that he could help the offense even in defeat.
Nebraska basketball just continues to struggle. Last timeout, they lost to a tough Wisconsin team by an 81-64 score. They were able to hang around for a little bit, but just could not overcome the hot shooting of Brad Davison. Nebraska has now not won a game since January 7. This is certainly a team with potential, but we may have to wait a bit before he can become a contender.
According to the latest Kenpom rankings, Nebraska is ranked No. 136, while Michigan State is ranked 10th. This is not going to be an easy game for Nebraska once again. If Nebraska basketball wants to win, they will certainly have to work for it. Their schedule is not doing them any favors.

Key to the Game
The key for Nebraska in this game will be to drive in the lane and try to get shots. Michigan State is tops in the conference in field goal percentage defense and three-point percentage defense. There are not going to allow Nebraska to get anything from the outside. The best thing Nebraska can do is to try and initiate contact and get to the line on the drive. We’ll see if they can make it happen as they look to record a victory at home.
