Nebraska football has made the cut for an athletic slot receiver.
As Nebraska football begins to take more stock into the 2021 class, one 2021 wide receiver has Nebraska football in his list of top five programs. Jaylin Noel released his top five on Friday, and Nebraska is in the mix.
Measuring in at 5-foot-11, 170 pounds, Noel is a three-star receiver. He is the 11th overall player in the state of Missouri per the 247Sports Composite Rankings. Most recently, he was offered by Kansas on January 24. He has had contact with Nebraska, having been offered by the program on November 16.
Hailing from Parkhill High School, Noel has been a consistent player. In the 2019 season, he recorded 42 catches for 706 yards and nine touchdowns. In three years of recorded statistics for Parkhill, Noel has recorded 93 catches for 1,421 yards and 18 touchdowns.
What could he bring to the Nebraska football program? Noel brings tremendous athleticism, and viewing his highlights, it was evident that he would also make a great slot receiver.

If he were to commit to Nebraska, that’s exactly where I would picture him going on offense. Nebraska could certainly use a slot receiver, as they have already addressed their needs for an outside receiver. Having an additional weapon on the inside could add another dimension to what should be a stacked offense. His good hands and athleticism could work wonders in the open field or on a down-and-long situation.
Nebraska has no 2021 wide receivers in the class. Currently, the 2021 class is ranked 22nd nationally and sixth overall in the Big Ten per the 247Sports Team Rankings. They have a good base of recruits. They would definitely like to add to the class and begin to form an even stronger base for what is shaping up to be a strong group. Noel would certainly add talent to Lincoln.
