Nebraska Football made an offer to a 2021 safety over the weekend.
It was a busy day in terms of offers for Nebraska football on Saturday, and on top of that, they had a ton of visitors. One of those visitors was 2021 three-star safety Tyler Hibbler, who locked up an offer of his own. ($)
Hibler is the 34th overall safety in his class and the ninth overall player in the state of Missouri per the 247Sports Composite Rankings. In addition to Nebraska, he has other offers at his disposal. Arkansas, Iowa State, Miami, and Toledo have all extended offers his way.

His recruitment has picked up in the last month or so. Miami (Ohio) extended him an offer on December 9, 2019, and Arkansas extended him an offer on January 7. Last Tuesday, West Virginia extended an offer his way as well.
Measuring in at 5-foot -11, 183 pounds, he is definitely on the smaller side for a safety. However, he certainly makes up for that with his speed. He absolutely flies to the ball, and he is also a very solid tackler. Hibbler plays the game much bigger than he is.
He would be a great player in the slot, or he could help Nebraska with their run defense. The way he can cover ground quickly is impressive. Once he identifies his target, he wraps up the ball carrier with ease. It’s truly impressive to watch him cover that much ground quickly. His skills would easily translate to the Big Ten. Nebraska would just have to focus on putting him in the proper positions to succeed.
He is the type of attacking football player Nebraska football needs. They have lacked that type of aggressive defensive player for quite some time. Hibler would be a great addition to the secondary, and I would be interested to see what Nebraska would be able to accomplish with him if he came to Lincoln. We will have to see if he accepts Nebraska’s offer.
