Nebraska basketball gets ready to meet Indiana on Saturday night.

Nebraska basketball is set to take on Indiana and what should be a fun Saturday night matchup. Both teams are looking for victories in this one.

In their last game, Indiana lost to Rutgers by a 59-50 margin. Forward Justin Smith scored 15 points in the loss. Joey Bronk and Al Durham scored 10 points each to help supplement the Hoosiers.

It is also worth noting that Smith scored 16 points the last time Nebraska and Indiana met. Bronk and Durham scored eight and 14 points respectively.

Nebraska basketball really didn’t have a chance in their last game at Ohio State. They were dominated by the Buckeyes, 80-68. Thor scored 15 while Cam Mack and two others chipped in 10 points. Even still, it was not enough to get Nebraska a win.

The last time Nebraska faced Indiana, it was a fun one. Played on December 13, they lost to Indiana on the road in overtime by a 96-90 score.

In the Kenpom rankings, Nebraska is ranked No. 131, while Indiana is ranked No. 41. This is not going to be an easy game for Nebraska, even if it is at home. They will certainly have their work cut out for them once again as this difficult stretch of Big Ten play continues.

Key to the Game

If Nebraska wants to win this basketball game, they need to crash the boards. Indiana is tops in the conference in rebounding defense, allowing 526 rebounds in 17 games. Nebraska needs to give it their best effort rebounding the basketball. That has not been a strong suit for them all season, so it should be a tall task.
