Nebraska Football is set to host a talented tight end this weekend.
A sought-after tight end prospect is coming to visit Nebraska Football this weekend. Tight end Thomas Fidone is set to be among the prospects visiting Nebraska this weekend, and he definitely has a ton of potential.
Yet another player from Iowa, he is the 10th overall tight end in the 2021 class, and the third overall player in the state of Iowa per the 247Sports Composite Rankings. In addition to Nebraska, he also has offers from Iowa, Michigan, and Florida. He is a four-star recruit.

What could he bring to Nebraska football? Fidone has been-play capability. He moves well for a player that is 6-4-5, 215 pounds. He moves well player of his size, and he has the ability to stretch the field. He would fit well in Nebraska’s offense as they rely a ton on mobile quarterbacks.
With the mobile quarterbacks comes the need for receivers to stretch the field. Adding him to the tight end position would only be an asset. Having a player like Fidone, who can receive and block at a high level would be welcome for the offense. He would allow them to have even more looks within their offense.
Currently, the 2021 Nebraska football recruiting class ranks 13th nationally and fourth overall in the Big Ten per the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He would be another major get for the class, and the tight end position could certainly use a player of his caliber. As of right, they do not have a playmaker of his level at the position. That would change if he were to commit to the program.
I will be interested to see how Nebraska football follows up his recruitment. They have not been shy about trying to get as many impact players as possible. Hopefully, it will be able to and a good impression for him. Whatever the coaching pitch is for recruiting players, it seems to be working. Hopefully, Fidone will be the next in line on what is a growing list of great commitments.
