Nebraska Basketball: How to watch and what to know for Northwestern
It’s almost time for some more Nebraska Basketball.
Nebraska Basketball and Northwestern will meet each other on Saturday afternoon in what is sure to be a fun game. Nebraska is looking for their second win in a row, while Northwestern is looking to get back on track with a win against an upstart Nebraska team.
Nebraska Basketball played well in their last game, partly because they shared the basketball. Five players scored in double figures, led by the always-dependable Thorir Thorbjarnarson. He scored 17 points on six-of-nine shooting in 36 minutes of play. He also proved to be extremely dependable on the glass, recording nine rebounds to lead the team. As a result, he was a major reason why the Huskers beat Iowa 76-70.
In their last game, Northwestern was outpaced by Indiana. Losing 66-62 that marked their fifth defeat in a row. Senior guard Pat Spencer played well in defeat. He scored 15 points on five-of-eight shooting in 35 minutes of play. Forward Miller Kopp also played well for the Wildcats. In 38 minutes of play, he went five-of-12 from the field and two-of-three from behind the arc. He scored 12 points in total.
Off the bench, the Wildcats managed to find a spark there as well. Guard AJ Turner scored 12 points in 32 minutes of play on four-of-nine shooting.
In the latest Kenpom ra, nkings, Northwestern is ranked No. 100, while Nebraska sits at No. 139. Prior to the big win against Iowa this week, Nebraska was ranked No. 152 in the rankings. The win over the Hawkeyes certainly did them wonders.

Key to the Game
I’m going to keep it real simple for Saturday’s game. Nebraska needs to share the basketball. Isolation basketball is not going to work in order to secure a victory. Nebraska had a nice blueprint in their win against Iowa. They were able to share the basketball, drive in the lane, and get to the foul line. They need to keep playing with that same high-level intensity if they want to have success in conference play.
