It was a great day for Nebraska Football.

Nebraska Football got a major commitment for the 2021 class. Four-star linebacker Randolph D. Kpai committed to the program.

Kpai is the 13th overall outside linebacker in his class and the top player in his class from South Dakota per the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Kpai had a pretty impressive offer sheet. In addition to Nebraska, he also received offers from Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, Oregon, and Wisconsin. He is the fourth commitment for the 2021 class.

Currently, the class ranks 14th overall nationally and fourth in the Big Ten per the 247Sports Team Rankings. It is still extremely early to put any stock into these rankings, but this is shaping up to be an impressive class so far. Hopefully, the momentum for this class can continue into the new year.

What can he bring to the table?  In watching his film, I am very impressed. He is the perfect size for a linebacker at 6-foot-3, 185 pounds. He is tremendously explosive off the edge and can tackle well. Those are two things Nebraska is missing right now. They need somebody who can be explosive and can tackle well. Kpai fits the mold in that regard. I’m happy to see him come to Lincoln, and I really think he can be a great player.

It will be interesting to see how Nebraska Football elects to round out the 2021 class. Obviously with only four commitments, there is still a lot of scholarships to be given. If the last couple of classes are any indication, Scott Frost and his coaching staff will be swinging for the fences.

I honestly wouldn’t have it any other way. The program appears to be on the right track to getting better, and commitments like this reaffirm that. I am excited to see what they can do to help improve this team moving forward.
