Nebraska Football is on his list of visits this month.

Nebraska Football is continuing to try and stock the wide receiver room. According to a report from Parker Gabriel of the Journal Star, 2020 three-star wide receiver Chris Abrams-Draine is going to take a visit to Lincoln sometime in January.

Draine  is the 20th overall wide receiver in his class from the state of Alabama per the 247Sports Composite Rankings. His journey around the college football ranks is rather interesting. He committed to Ole Miss in the early signing period. However, he did not commit to the program once Lane Kiffin was announced head coach. Prior to his commitment to Ole Miss, he was committed to LSU.

As Gabriel noted, Draine has an official visit to Florida State scheduled for January 31. The probability is that he would visit Lincoln either the weekend of January 17 or January 24. He certainly has an impressive recruiting profile, with many offers from top teams. LSU, Florida, Oklahoma, and Oregon have all extended offers his way.

When I look at his highlights, two things come to mind. Speed, and his ability to run routes are both things that he does very well. He would fit right in with Nebraska Football. Nebraska as many of you know, has a very open offense. He is able to sneak by defenders very well and settle in to make the catch. After he does that, his run-after-the-catch speed is noticeable. He can turn on the Jets an instant. He would definitely be able to help with the offense that Nebraska is trying to build. He is explosive and a big-time playmaker.

The fact that he has offers from some of the best teams in the country is proof of that. This would be a huge commitment for Nebraska but I’m not holding my breath given who else is recruiting him. Nebraska is certainly up against some of the top programs in the country. Adding him into the fold would only make the wide receiving corps that much stronger. I would love to have him in Lincoln, and it will be interesting to see if the visit can produce any headway towards getting him to commit here.
