Nebraska Football landed another impact receiver on Wednesday.

Nebraska Football landed another wide receiver commitment on Wednesday as 2020 four-star wideout Alante Brown committed to the program. A four-star commitment, he is the top prep player in the country per the 247 Sports Composite Rankings. Hailing from Chicago, Illinois, he played football at the St. Thomas More School.

He took official visits to Maryland on December 6 and Ole Miss on December 13. He committed to Nebraska on Wednesday, and he has signed his Letter of Intent.

He is on the smaller side of the equation in terms of size. He measures in at five-foot-10, 181 pounds. This isn’t necessarily shocking, as Nebraska has always favored the smaller receivers. In Brown’s case however, his individual skill set makes up for it. He has tremendous hands and he is a great route-runner. Those are two things you need to be successful in Nebraska Football’s offense, especially with them running a high tempo offense at times.

He played quarterback in high school, and he was a very good one at that. He scored 41 total touchdowns as a senior at Chicago Simeon High School. As noted in a report from 247Sports, he focused on the wide receiver position at the prep school.

He is done at St. Thomas More, and will enroll on January 13. I like the idea of this, because it will allow him to get familiar with his Nebraska Football surroundings. He also will have a chance to take part in the offseason program.

The wide receiver position is looking absolutely stacked right now. Nebraska Football has done a nice job of getting athletes at the position. Not only are they are athletes, they are athletes who have a track record of success. This commitment undoubtedly strengthens a class that ranks 18th in the country and fourth overall in the Big Ten per the 247Sports Composite Rankings. That is certainly encouraging to look at.

Alante Brown wold be good fit for Huskers. light. Also

I can’t wait to see what other commitments Nebraska Football can bring in on Wednesday. This has been a very strong day for the program already, and hopefully there is more to come. Nebraska Football is not playing around on the recruiting trail and it is showing. Hopefully, they can continue to strengthen the class and begin shaking up the Big Ten. The players and the coaching staff seem committed to making this program better. I can’t wait to see what they do with all the talent they’ve assembled.
