Nebraska Football will have another visitor this weekend.

Nebraska Football is going to get a visit from a highly touted linebacker this weekend. 2020 four-star outside linebacker Keyshawn Greene is set to land in Lincoln this weekend.

Greene is ranked the 12th overall outside linebacker in his class in the 24th overall player in the sunshine state per the 247Sports Composite Rankings. Previously committed to Florida State, Greene has a ton of offers on the table. In addition to Florida State, Arkansas, Florida, Florida Atlantic, and Miami also extended offers his way.

Greene was a monster for Wakulla High School. 2018 was one of his best seasons to date. He recorded 108 tackles, two tackles for losses, four sacks, two forced fumbles, and an interception. He is the type of player that can do it all.

What could he bring to Nebraska Football? Pass-rushing ability is perhaps his biggest asset. He is not the type of linebacker that is going to sit back and wait for the play to develop. He is going to attack the quarterback, and act as a defensive end. His speed is definitely one of his top traits. His size is also a huge asset as well. He is six-foot-three, 185 pounds. I am not a huge fan of moving players from their original positions. However, he could also probably moved to defensive end if need be. It would be nice to have a player with that type of versatility.

It’s encouraging to hear all of the work that is being put into the defensive side of the football. It seems like Nebraska Football is focusing a lot on offense on the recruiting trail. I have a feeling that more defensive players will become Blackshirts over the next couple of days. Whether Greene will be one of them remains to be seen.

There is no doubt that Nebraska is trying to get as many impact players as possible. As result, I don’t expect a ton of noise come national signing Day in February. However, you never know. This staff seems to be committed to continuing to get players that can make an impact right away.
