Nebraska Football is scheduled to have a visit on Wednesday.

Nebraska Football will have a wide receiver in for a visit on Wednesday. 2020 prep star Alante Brown will come to Lincoln for a visit.

Brown is not ranked in the 247Sports composite rankings, but he is ranked the top wide receiver both in his class and the state of Illinois per the 247Sports overall rankings. Nebraska certainly has several schools that will have to battle with for his services. Indiana, Maryland, Virginia Tech, Michigan State, and Missouri are all schools that are trying to land Brown. Most recently, he took a visit to Maryland on December 6. In addition, he is going to visit Virginia Tech on December 13.

He was first offered by Nebraska on December 2. Right now, they have Zavier Betts and William Nixon in the 2020 class. Brown would be a much-needed addition for Nebraska.

The only thing I don’t like about Nebraska recruiting Brown is the fact that he is small. Measuring in at five-foot-10, 181 pounds, Nebraska certainly has loved smaller receivers over the years. They need to get some size at the position, which is why a commitment from Omar Manning would be extremely crucial for the team.

In watching some of his highlights, the way he can run routes is extremely impressive. He also has very solid hands, and appears to have the ability to make the tough catch. He would definitely be a prototypical Nebraska football receiver.

He would be a good fit, especially with the quarterbacks Nebraska has on the roster. Logan Smothers and Luke McCaffrey (who is a quarterback for now,) can both move out of the pocket with ease. So too can Adrian Martinez. Browns play style would mesh well with what the Nebraska offense is trying to do.

I’m excited to see where Brown’ s recruitment goes. He definitely has talent, and it would be another receiver in the room for the program. Nebraska seems to have an idea of how they want the team constructed, and Brown would certainly fit the bill. This is definitely something to watch in the coming weeks.
