Nebraska Basketball is set to take on Creighton Saturday afternoon.

Nebraska Basketball takes on the Creighton Bluejays in what should be another great matchup between these two teams. Nebraska (4-4) is looking to rebound from a tough loss to Georgia Tech. Creighton (9-2)  is looking to keep the good times rolling, having won by a 72-60 score over Oral Roberts in their last game.

Creighton beat Oral Roberts in their last game. Winning by a score of 72-60, Christian Bishop played a key role in the win. He scored 17 points and chipped in eight rebounds to lead the Bluejays. Marcus Zegarowsli and Ty-Shon Alexander each made their mark as well. They recorded 14 points apiece, with Alexander hitting four three-point field goals.

This is a fun series between the two teams. In 52 meetings, the series is deadlocked at 26. If you remember in their last meeting, Nebraska beat Creighton for the first time in seven meetings back on December 8, 2018. With the good guys winning by and 94-75 score, it was certainly a great victory.

In the Kenpom rankings, Creighton is ranked  No. 55 while Nebraska sits at 146. This game is going to be a challenge for Nebraska basketball, and these rankings just prove that.

Key to the Game

I feel like I say this every week, but Nebraska is going to have to do a better job of handling the paint. Georgia Tech had 48 points in the paint and the Huskers have to do a better job of defending the painted area. Alexander and guard Mitch Babcock have 5.9 and 5.5 rebounds per contest. With no major size advantage inside, Creighton still has the tools to get it done. Nebraska Basketball needs to compensate for it, or else it could be another long afternoon.
