Nebraska Football: Marcus Fleming recruitment worth watching
This is certainly a good development for Nebraska Football.
There is some interesting recruiting news to report as it relates to Nebraska Football. A highly talented recruit who visited Nebraska this weekend decommitted from his original school following his visit. 2020 four-star wide receiver Marcus Fleming announced his choice to reopen his recruitment on Monday morning via Twitter.
Fleming is the 43rd overall wide receiver in his class and 42nd overall player from the state of Florida per the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

In addition to Nebraska and Miami, he has also been pursued by other big-name schools. Florida, Oregon, and Penn State have also extended him an offer. On the Nebraska front, he is being recruited by Travis Fisher and Troy Walters.
In total, Fleming has 36 offers. He is certainly valued highly across the country. It makes sense given the amount of talent and athleticism he has.
In the month of November, he has been busy in terms of visiting schools. He took an official visit to Maryland on November 1, and visited Nebraska on Saturday.
According to his profile on 247Sports, he runs a 4.47 40-yard dash. According to his profile, his NFL comparison is Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett. If I am Fleming, I am very happy with that comparison. Lockett is one of the most athletic and sure-handed wide receivers in the National Football League.
Measuring in at five-foot-nine, 175 pounds, he is obviously not the tallest receiver. However when I watched some of his highlights, one thing stood out to me. He has tremendous speed. As soon as he caught the ball, he was off to the races. It was really amazing to watch how fast he was. I could see where the hype surrounding him is coming from. A receiver with speed like that is any quarterback’s dream.
Currently, Nebraska has two wide receivers in the 2020 class. Xavier Betts and William Nixon fill that description. Those two are very talented in their own right. If Nebraska Football is able to add Fleming to the mix, that would make the wide receiver group even more dangerous.
Hopefully he commits here as Nebraska Football needs to reload for the future. The future is very bright, and there is no doubt that the coaching staff is working hard to ensure that big things happen very soon. At the very least, the door has been opened. The fact that Fleming decommitted following his visit certainly works in Nebraska’s favor.
