Hopefully, the list will increase for Nebraska Football.

With Nebraska Football set to take on Indiana next week, there is no denying that this is a big game for all teams involved. There is also no denying that Nebraska has talent. They just need to be able to execute. The level of talent can be seen by how the national media views some Nebraska Football players.

According to his latest 2020 draft rankings, Mel Kiper Jr of ESPN has several Huskers on his NFL Draft Big Board. Darrion Daniels, and Lamar Jackson are the two representatives for Nebraska.

Both have been extremely effective the season. Daniels has 27 tackles, including 2.5 for a loss, and 1.5 sacks. Jackson has made 21 tackles while starting in all seven games. In addition, he has recorded two interceptions, 11 pass breakups, and has forced a fumble as well.

Both Nebraska representatives on the list definitely have a chance to succeed in the National Football League. Those two have games that are made for the National Football League. Particularly in a passing league, Jackson should be able to help a team solidify things at corner. Daniels can use his tackling ability to really make an impact and disrupt a team’s running game. He is at his best when he is filling in the gaps, and halting running backs in their tracks.

It will be interesting to see if other Nebraska players make any pre-draft rankings. After a much-needed bye week, Nebraska Football looks to regroup and play well for the rest of their schedule. They are extremely close to six wins, and have a very realistic shot of making a bowl game.

I can’t wait to see how the rest of the season plays out, and I hope it finishes in a positive manner. I would certainly love to write about a potential bowl game come December. Compared to where things were a year ago, that would certainly be an improvement. I have a feeling that the team will come out ready for their game against Indiana, and a win over the Hoosiers would certainly give the program a much-needed boost moving forward. They certainly have the talent, it is just about putting it all together. Of course, that is easier said than done, but I believe they can do it.
