The wins won’t be pretty for Nebraska Football, but we will take them any way we can get them.

Although  the win on Saturday was not pretty, one fact remains. Nebraska Football has four wins. That matches their total from last year, as many know. By winning Saturday’s game against Northwestern, one thing is abundantly clear. This Nebraska team will make you sit at the edge of your seat for every game this season. Although they may come away with the victory, it will not be pretty.

Personally, I hate sitting at the edge of my seat for every game. However, I must remember the fact that they started 0-6 last year. There is no doubt that progress is being made, however slow it may be for some. Personally, I think they still have a lot to work on. However, Rome wasn’t built in a day, and I am not going to ignore the fact that they are in a much better place now than they were a year ago.

The next challenge Nebraska Football will have to overcome is  Minnesota. Minnesota is one of the stronger teams in all of the Big Ten, and this will again help Nebraska find out where they sit in college football, and how much further work they need to do. It will certainly be a tough test, especially given the fact that it is a night game. Again, Nebraska will probably have to grind it out in order for a win.

Those are the types to wins Nebraska is going to get all season. They are not going to be sexy, they are not going to be an offensive juggernaut anytime soon, they’re going to be tough and grind things out as they chase victory. I would like it if the offense was crisp and clean. It would take a lot of stress away from watching the game. However, Nebraska has made abundantly clear that it is not going to be that way.

I’m okay with that. A win is a win. I could sit here and analyze everything Nebraska Football did wrong over the course of the game. The truth is, I probably well. However, at the end of the day as long as they continue improving from week-to-week, I have nothing to be upset about. This is a team that works better when all its parts are functioning, not when one person puts up a tremendous display of offense or defense. In a way, this is a very blue-collar team. Much like Nebraska Football fans, they work for everything they have.
