J.K. Dobbins

It feels a little strange putting Ohio State running back and J. K. Dobbins at the bottom of this list, but that’s just how talented this team is. Dobbins is an explosive running back who can help pace the offense. Nebraska Football will undoubtedly want to watch out for him come Saturday

On the season, he has rushed the ball 68 times for 477 yards and five touchdowns. Averaging seven yards per carry,  a 60-yard rush has been his longest of the season to this point. Last week’s game against Miami of Ohio was one of his worst of the season if you can believe it. He rushed the ball eight times for 52 yards and a touchdown. Averaging 6.5 yards per carry, he made the most of his rushing opportunities.

This is a back that has rushed for 150-plus yards twice. Nebraska will have to stack the box in order to contain him. They are going to have to decide what they want to focus on more. Do they let Dobbins run or do they succumb to the passing game? If they want to stop Dobbins, they need to make sure they tackle solidly and they take proper angles. Above all, they need to get penetration through the Ohio State offensive line. Without it, they will struggle.
