It’s almost time for some Nebraska Football.

It’s that time again. Week two of the college football season kicks off, and for Nebraska Football, their opponent will be the Colorado Buffaloes. Around this time last year, Colorado defeated Nebraska 31-28. In the process, they injured quarterback Adrian Martinez. It’s safe to say that both teams do not like each other, and it should make for a fun afternoon.

Both teams come into Saturday’s game with the records of 1-0. Nebraska trudged through a slow first half, but the defense saved the day. With multiple interceptions and key stops on a short field, the Huskers defeated South Alabama by a 35-21 score. it was not the prettiest of wins, but a win is a win. Considering the team only had four last season, they will take them anyway they can get them.

Colorado had a high-scoring affair with Colorado State last Saturday. Winning by a 52-31 margin, the Buffaloes were buoyed by 232 yards from quarterback Steven Montez. Alex Fontenot rushed for 125 yards and two touchdowns on just 19 carries. Tony Brown caught three passes for 71 yards, anchoring the Colorado passing attack. Averaging 23.7 yards per catch, he showed he could be a reliable weapon.

Nebraska leads this all-time series by a 49-19-2 margin. It certainly has made for some great contests over the years, and both teams will come into this game ready to play. Nebraska Football should treat this like a conference game. It certainly has that feel to it. A win on Saturday would give Nebraska a tremendous boost both in the polls and in terms of morale.

Prediction : It will definitely be a tough game on Saturday for Nebraska. They will have to be focused on both the offensive and defensive side of the football. The offensive line will undoubtedly have to play a better game.

I think will be a close contest just like last year. However, I feel that when they are on top of their game, Nebraska is difficult to beat. We have yet to see that in the 2019 season, granted it has been only one game. However, as long as they stick to the game plan and play a well-rounded game on both sides of the football, they should be in good shape.

Score Prediction: Huskers 35, Buffaloes 31
