Nebraska Football: Program ranked in latest Associated Press poll
This is a great development for the Nebraska Football program.
For the first time in five years, Nebraska Football has accomplished quite an impressive feat. After coming off a 4-8 season last year, the team is ranked in the Associated Press Top 25 poll.
Nebraska is sandwiched between Washington State who comes in at the 23rd spot, and Stanford who comes in at the 25th spot. Considering that Stanford was 9-4 last year, the fact that Nebraska is ranked ahead of them is very interesting. I would have thought the Associated Press would have given Stanford a little bit of an edge since they were successful last year. That must mean that the voters think Nebraska Football has the veterans and the talent to leap Stanford in the polls.

This is the first time in five years that Nebraska Football has been ranked in a national poll. With the job that Scott Frost has been doing both on and off the field, this ranking is well-deserved. The trick for Nebraska Football is to make sure they can live up to it. There has been a lot of hype surrounding this team, and a lot of optimism around them. I can’t wait until the season starts in the next couple of days.
If anything, this ranking is a reaffirmation that Nebraska Football is headed in the right direction. At the very least, they are getting the national recognition that they have wanted for a number of years. Again, this is going to be all about results for them. They certainly have the pieces to make it happen, and I would argue that this may be the most complete team they will have for a number of years. The time is now.
This is a great development for Nebraska, and it shows that they are getting respect. Now, they have to capitalize on their chances in the spotlight. The road to for success will not be easy, but it is something that should allow them to become a stronger and better team, both mentally and physically. That’s pretty much all you can ask for.
