The Nebraska Football upperclassman made the  110-man roster.

With the Nebraska Football 110-man roster coming out a couple of days ago, there were some glaring omissions that should have been on the roster. One of them has now made it as result of his better in health.

Linebacker JoJo Domann has had a rocky start to camp just because of injuries. After going home to rehab, his condition has improved and thus he has earned a spot on the roster.

Recording 19 total tackles in 2018, and also managed to notch a sack and a fumble recovery. Rehabbing in Colorado, the injury, which occurred in the offseason, is obviously feeling a little bit better. He was a player that I thought could perform at a high level in 2019, and it looks like he is on his way to start doing so.

It is evident from the stat sheet that he can do a little bit of everything. His numbers are not the All-American type but they are certainly a good starting point to where he wants to get to. According to the most recent depth chart from OurLads.com, he is the starting outside linebacker. However, I expect that we will see updated depth charts throughout the coming weeks. There are a lot of talented players, and only so many spots to go around. Omissions and surprise starters are undoubtedly going to be a part of breaking down the depth chart.

The fact that he is healthy and made the 110-man is a huge development for the defense. The linebacker position is one that while it has talent, does not have a ton of depth. Domann will certainly provide depth, as well as a veteran voice at the position. Some areas of this defense are going to be extremely young, and the linebacker position is no exception.

Head coach Scott Frost gave an update on the linebacker’s health and it undoubtedly provided more clarity to the situation. It’s good to hear that Domann is in a good place with his recovery.

"“He had a good feeling about being home for a couple days to continue to rehab. He wasn’t on the 110, and as long as he wasn’t there I couldn’t make him come back,” Frost explained. “But we kind of picked a mutually agreed upon date and everything looks good from that standpoint, so I don’t expect it will be long for him.”"

That is awesome news. I certainly want to see if he can build off last year. As far as I’m concerned, the sky’s the limit for him. He has shown that he knows how to play the game that Nebraska wants him to. As long as he stays healthy, he could have a huge part in the defense.
