Ty Robinson

I was fired up as soon as I heard that Nebraska Football would be getting Robinson. As some of you may recall, the entire Nebraska Football coaching staff flew out to recruit him back in December. They wanted  Robinson badly and they got him. Robinson is the type of player that could be a tremendous leader on the defense, both with his play, and his ability to take over a game with his skillset.

When talking about Robinson, one thing is certain: he can get after the quarterback. That is exactly what Nebraska Football needs moving forward. Again, they have a ton of veteran leadership on the defensive line which is great for right now. However, when looking towards the future, they are going to need to replace some of those guys. Robinson can help the program do that. Playing for Higley High School in Gilbert, Arizona, he was a sack machine. He recorded 13 sacks in his junior year of 2017, and he proved to be stout in terms of tackling. He recorded 146 tackles and three years of varsity play. Hopefully, he can take his tackling prowess to Nebraska Football.

He has the talent to play this year. Playing time may be scarce because of the tremendous defensive talent on that side of the football. Not only are there tremendous amount of defensive talent, there is a lot of proven talent. I think for him especially, summer practice will be important. If he can show that he is able to demonstrate knowledge of the playbook, I can see him getting some snaps in come the fall.
