Kade Warner

Kade Warner is a player that this website has talked about before as someone who needs to step up for Nebraska Football  Although he alone will not be able to offset the departure of Stanley Morgan, he should be able to play a big role in 2019. He is on this list because he should be able to break out in the second half of spring ball, and hopefully he can carry that momentum onto the regular season.

He caught 17 passes for 95 yards, averaging 5.6 yards per catch last season as a freshman. The son of former National Football League quarterback Kurt Warner, he showed that athleticism does indeed run in the family. Now, he looks to build off that heading into the fall. He gave us a nice sample of what he could do, now we just have to see if he can do it over prolonged periods of time. I think he can. He has the athletic ability and the size at six-foot-one, 210 pounds to be difficult for defenders to cover.

He is the starting right wide receiver for the program for the most recent depth chart from OurLads.com. I do not see him losing that role unless he has a poor preseason. He has enough in-game experience at the position, although he is still very young, to be able to be given a chance there. If he can combine his skill set and his experience and use it over the rest of spring ball, he should continue to have a very strong spring.
